The Tony Award winning musical Wicked will hit the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA for three weeks this winter, from February 18 to March 8, 2015. The musical is slated to hit 30 other North American cities as part of its current 2014-15 tour. The musical, which is based on Gregory Maguire’s novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, depicts the events that shaped the lives of Elphaba, a social outcast by virtue of her emerald skin color and very opinionated nature who eventually became the Wicked Witch, and Glinda, who became the Good Witch. The musical has also spawned a host of ultra popular show tunes such as “What is this Feeling?” and “Defying Gravity”, among others.

Wicked was last in Atlanta from September 14 to October 9, 2011. The 2011 Wicked Atlanta cast featured the talents of Jackie Burns as Elphaba, Chandra Lee Schwartz as Glinda, Randy Danson as Madame Morrible, and Mark Jacoby as The Wizard.
