A wickedly entertaining holiday season awaits Cleveland this year! Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz, the record-breaking, top grossing, and multi-award winning musical that has been taking Broadway by storm, has a five-week engagement at the PlayhouseSquare’s State Theatre from November 8, 2017 to December 3, 2017 as part of the seven-show 2017-2018 Keybank Broadway Series.
Way before Dorothy Gale ever set foot in Oz, two young women became roomies and friends while in college – Elphaba, the smart, fiery, misunderstood, and green-skinned girl, and Galinda, the popular, ambitious, and beautiful girl well-loved by many. They later found themselves embroiled in Oz politics and on opposing sides as the much-despised Wicked Witch of the West and the widely-adored Glinda the Good.
Experience the magic of Wicked this holiday season as it plays at the State Theatre on evenings of Tuesday through Saturday at 8 PM and every Sunday at 6:30 PM. The regular matinee performances are at 2 PM on Saturdays and at 1:30 PM on Sundays.
