The famed Broadway production Wicked will be rolling into the Rocky Mountains settling into the Buell Theatre in Denver, Colorado from May 8 to June 9, 2019 The Tony winning musical has cast a spell on audiences on the Great White Way and across the nation since 2003. The prequel to the Wizard of Oz explores the complex relationship between the witches of Oz — Glinda and Elphaba — and finds there is always two sides to every story. The Stephen Schwartz score, the top-notch acting and the elaborate set designs will bring Oz to life on the Buell Theatre stage this May.

The last time Wicked visited the Buell Theatre stage was June 3 to July 5, 2015.
Prior to that, Wicked was in Denver from April 11 through May 20, 2012. The cast for the 2012 staging of Wicked in Denver included the talents of Mamie Parris as Elphaba, Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Liz McCarthy as Madame Morrible and Mark Jacoby as the Wizard.
Prior to 2012, Wicked played the Buell Theatre in Denver, Colorado from October 7 – November 15, 2009.
