Wicked is slated to hit Portland, Oregon for a two-week run in the summer of 2019, from July 10 to 28. Featuring a book written by Winnie Holzman with songs and scores composed by Stephen Schwartz of Godspeed and Prince of Egypt fame, Wicked is the story of two friends; blonde and ambitious Galinda, and smart, insightful and emerald skinned Elphaba. They bring differing perspectives and attitudes while vying for the affection of the same man. These two will have to fulfill distinctly opposite destinies, with one becoming the Good Witch of the North while the other, bearing the curse of being the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked last played Portland from August 5 to 23, 2015.
Prior to that, Wicked played Portland’s Keller Auditorium from March 14 to April 8, 2012. The cast members of the 2012 Portland engagement of Wicked included Mamie Parris as Elphaba, Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Liz McCarthy as Madame Morrible and Mark Jacoby as the Wizard.
